Fall pictures and Angel Swap

Fall Pictures and Angel Swap

I wanted to post a couple of pictures of the grandbabies and a peek at my Angel Swap gifts. I am going to mail them Monday, I hate they are getting to her a little after October 31st. I can't show the other side because of initials on the bag. I'll show more pictures after they arrive.

Of course the grandbabies are first. This was while we took our little vacation, they had the cutest fall decor, but the sun was in their eyes and we didn't get real good pictures.

This next one they had some geese you could feed at a certain time and we had a hard time keeping Chloe from trying to go under the fence.

And this is just a peek at some of the things I sent my Angel Swap partner. She's an excellent sewer, so I hope she likes them.

Apron Giveaway and Martha Stewart

Boy, I almost didn't make the September Giveaway!

I'm having another giveaway, a fall apron I had made. Just leave a post and your name will be in. I know this contest want have a lot of time, but the deadline will be October 2nd. That way the October giveaway will have time to run.
This apron pattern is one of the most popular, fits all sizes and has a little flounce at the bottom for the girlie look. Ties at the sides. I have this Indygo Junction Pattern in the online shop. www.calamityjanescottage.com
Martha Stewart
Martha Stewart is having a blog contest and you may even get to be on her show. If you go here and leave a comment you will be entered. I still can't believe I invited someone like Martha or a staff member to read my blog. This kinda leads to a story I have to tell ya about when I was in High School.

I took homemaking (favorite subject) and then I took business courses, you know the one back then that had calculators, Dictaphones, typing, no computers when I was in school. Anyway, my homemaking teacher and my business course teacher called me into a meeting. I thought oh no, what have I done. You see I could type 60 words a minute, (that was with just copying a page) but on a Dictaphone I had to stop every other word just to look it up in the dictionary. They told me at this meeting I should go with my homemaking skills. I guess they were correct in guiding me in that direction. I thank spell check now, just wish they had grammar check on here.
Don't forget to leave a post so I can put your name in the drawing!

Have a Great Labor Day and the Winner Is!!!!
I hope everyone stays safe and has a great Labor Day! We are watching the weather here and buckling down the hatchet in case the hurricane comes this way. After going through hurricane Rita, you really take these things serious.

I want to thank everyone again for entering the giveaway and I have to say it turned out with a lot of entries. Don't forget about the one in September, it starts around the middle of the month. So I've emailed the lady who won, she is from http://artfulife.blogspot.com/ and she wrote-That bag is precious! It would be perfect for all my October outings.

Have a great weekend

Giveaway for August!!!!

Time To Post My Giveaway
Getting Ready For Fall
Deadline August 28th

I'm late posting this because I got the great idea of making two, one to giveaway and one for the shop, www.calamityjanescottage.com . I might take better pictures tomorrow and post them. It has been raining here and the pictures came out a little foggy.

I love different purses for the season. This pattern is from Indygo Junction-The Crestwood and it turned out larger than I expected. There are two pockets on the inside and I used denim in the inside to give it some body. It has a pin on it for closure and I scrunched the fabric on the handles. I have the pattern if you are interested.

I will put your name in twice if you leave me a post and post about it on your blog. Deadline for entries will be August 28th and I will announce the winner before Labor Day weekend.

Good Luck to everyone.

More Autumn Angel

I just love this angel from the book "Easy Does It For Autumn"-Art To Heart. She just makes me smile, so I put her on an apron that is really a good cooking apron. Big pockets and a place to hold your towel. Working on fall projects just makes me a little cooler. Maybe Peg at http://happyinquilting.blogspot.com/ should have another finish by ????, but it would be Christmas gifts that need to be completed. Doesn't that sound good to ya? Hope all the creative people, (quilters, scrapbooks, artist in general) have a great prosperous weekend.

Is Anyone Ready For Cooler Weather?

I worked on an angel towel that is going to go with an apron. Thought she might make everyone think of some cooler weather.
