Vacation - Tennessee

I'm going to upload some of the pictures I took while on vacation. We had such a good time we didn't want to come home. Hope they bring you joy and relaxation, but you know you can't go on a trip without something happening.

This is my husband changing the tire on top of Clingman's Dome. We were both looking over the curb and guess what. POW-the tire hit the curb. It was around 37 degrees and we had shorts on. When he was putting the doughnut on, all I could think about was that hasn't been put on since we had the car and I bet you there isn't any air in it. Well, it was flat. After an hour and half we had two of the nicest volunteers come and rescue us with an air pump. I just thank the Lord nothing else happened.

Now for some of the beautiful sites and then I have to tell you about one of the best places we went to and that was the "Museum of Appalachia" in Clinton, Tennessee

These pictures might make you a little cooler with the hot weather we have been having. I'll post some of the pictures from the Museum today- the others tomorrow. I love to look at the way people lived years ago.

Clothes are washed and unpacked and now I need to get back to sewing.

Have a blessed day.

I almost forgot about the Front Porch Party!

All you need to do is go to Rhondi's blog and post a comment between now and then letting here know about your Porch Party Post. She will post links to your porch party on June 5th. My First Post

I ask everyone that may visit my blog to please accept the things I cannot change and that is my spelling and good writing habits ( thank goodness for spellcheck). I'm 53 and I don't think they will change, but I sure can hope for the best.

I had an Antique and Gift shop about 3 years ago and closed it to pursue other adventures, which brought me to Canton, Texas at the Flea Market. My slide show has some of the pictures from setting up there. You talk about hard work, we had to set up on Wednesday and take down on Sunday. Not to mention I live 4 1/2 hours away. Well the expense has gotten way more than the outcome, but I met some wonderful people and really enjoyed the adventure.

Now, I'm off to another one. I had a website built (which is a work in progress) and have started blogging. There is so much to learn and it is really exciting to be able to stay home and accomplish a dream I have had.

My favorite things to do are to make things from flea market finds and sew. I'll try to download some pictures of items that have been made.

I love aprons and I got carried away making lots of aprons. My grandmother never was caught without an apron on and it's just good ole memories.

My husband and I just got back from vacation and I hope to share some great places to visit if you are by the Smokies. I'll have to tell a little story on him that happened on top of Clingmons Dome, one of the tallest peaks.

I'm going to end this post and try to learn how to take better pictures and get them posted.
