2 Days Late, but we have a Winner!!!

I bet ya thought I just forgot about this giveaway. I really didn't, after getting home from our bee get together, I came home to about 35 pounds of shrimp I had to put up. Boy I love shrimp gumbo, but I really don't like to clean them. My hands are all torn up. So sorry for the delay on this announcement. This is the purse that the winner will receive, I hope she likes Halloween.

Below is the pattern I used. If you haven't sewn one of Nanette's patterns, they are so easy to understand and with great pictures. Freda's Hive is her website, you need to go visit her and see all the patterns she has designed.

And here is the winner, Michelle at Rosebud Quilting
Sewing this just put me in a FALL mood.

Thanks for all that stop in. I also joined facebook, so if you follow me on my page I added at the top of the blog you get two chances on my giveaway's. Hope to have a new tutorial soon, kinda hate to say anything due to out of the blue things getting in the way.

I'm working on items for another show coming up soon, so stay tune.

Giveaway on Wednesday and Sock Monkey Quilt

Short post on what I'm working on and a completed quilt, yea!!! What you see in the picture above is going to be in the giveaway I'm working on coming up. So if you are a follower you'll be in the drawing. Probably it will take place on this coming Wednesday. If I really get with it you might have a choice of the gifty. Spellcheck is telling me that gifty is not a word, but it sounds good to me.
Below is a quilt a finished and hope to list it on etsy tonight or the website. Love me some sock monkeys. This is the front and then the next picture is the back. Tried to get a close up on the quilting.
Hope everyone has a great weekend and still more pictures to be posted soon.

Quilt Retreat Photos

We had such a blast at our retreat with guild members. Putting women together with the same hobbies always turns out to be a good time. The first two pictures I'm sure you'll get a laugh. Ethel made a dirty clothes bag for her laundry. Isn't this the cutest thing. She also taught a lot of the girls quilt as you go at the retreat. So much talent in a little package.

I also need to apologize for some of the photo's, I didn't go to school for photography and you can tell...

Another week of unexpected events, be ready for heavy picture post!!!

Hi everyone, another week of unexpected events, but I finally made it to pick up my Cd's with all the pictures I've been behind in showing. Where do I start, Bonnie Hunter is a good place to start (see her excitement in the top picture). We introduced her to boudain from the Southeast Texas area, I think she really enjoyed it. Below are some of her quilts she showed us, so many and each one was beautiful as the next. If you haven't been to Bonnie's site, you need to take a visit. She has so much inspiration in her designs and work to make from men's shirts and clothing. Thank you, Bonnie for such a great meeting.
Then some inspirations from the ladies in our Bee and a retreat I went on. So many pictures to show, these will have to wait till the next post, so sit back and enjoy, I know it will make you want to get in your sewing room and sew away.
She even found in her collection of magazines an article about our quilt bee, just a feeeewww years ago. I'm not sure if I was born then. LOL...
