SEW MAMA SEW GIVEAWAY!!!

Sew Mama Sew is having a May Giveaway and it is going to be huge. There are 3 categories, so go over and check out all the great blogs that are participating.

I'm joining in on the two giveaway section, Something handmade and Supplies for the creative person. First up is a Big Picnic Bag to take along for the Summer Fun ahead. Everything you see will be included. Orange plates, yellow bowls, blue cups, napkins, plastic holders for sandwich or goodies, plastic utensils, dish towel and pot holder. (not sure why I made a pot holder to go in a picnic basket)
x

Then I pulled together Six Summer Fun Fat Quarters and a couple of Patterns that would add some great addition to a Summer Vacation Suitcase. This is for the creative person that just doesn't have enough patterns or fabric.

All you have to do is leave me a comment on this post, please make sure I can contact you and in the comment, let me know which category you would like to be in. Random Generator Picker will be the way the winner is picked. I will ship Internationally.

#1 is the Handmade Picnic Bag

#2 is the Six Fat Quarters and Two Patterns

If you are new to my blog I hope you stop back by for other giveways that I have often and you can find some tutorials at the top of the page for a little inspiration. Have a blast today visiting everyone.

We stayed longer and had a blast!

We had the best time in St. Augustine, Florida, but so glad to be home. The picture above was an old quilt on a bed in one of the museums we visited. Being the oldest town in the United States we had a lot of exploring to do.

This is the oldest wooden school house.
x

On our trolley ride we passed some beautiful Churches.
x

We went on a ghost tour at night and had some fun listening to old stories being told, of course I had to snap some pictures to see if they would show up.
x

One of the houses that had a wonderful story being told by these two. He told her she was frugal buying the iron toaster she was showing him.

I'm working on my item for this huge giveaway being held on Monday so I need to empty my camera to show some sneak peeks. Maybe tomorrow. Be sure and read all about it here.

Annie Oakley and adding to my stash

I went to our quilt shop close by and just wanted to look around, look what it did, a new machine to take with me to classes and sewing adventures. I have a big Bernina and was considering a feather weight, they are so cute. But I needed a little more than just straight stitch and I love to move my needle over and the blanket stitch is a must and not to mention all the feet on my big one fits this one and that includes walking foot. I guess I don't have to say anymore, convinced myself and Little Annie Oakley came home with me.

Then I started shopping for some fabric to add to my stash for projects in mind and just to add for my retirement years. My husband says "I must think I'm going to live for a long time." Lord I hope so or I'm going to have a lot of explaining to do when the better half gets up there to see me."
