I really liked sewing the Jelly Roll Sampler 1st Block. Just click the picture on the sidebar if you want to check it out. Can't wait for the next one. I wanted to do a quilt for the sewing room and thought this would be perfect. The designers are so talented so it bound to be great.

My plans for tomorrow is to sit here and update my shop and Etsy, well today. It's already 1:00am, have I ever told ya I'm a night owl.

xI made this log cabin for a sample using the Moda Honey Bun-Kansas Winter. All I added was the center piece, 3 1/2" square and the rest is the Honey Bun, so you can see all the colors in it.

The other quilt is a work in progress for a baby. Moda Honey Bun-Arcadia, which I love, is used on this one. Still have another border or two to add, not sure. I hardly ever use a pattern and just start sewing, I get in trouble sometimes by doing this. I had a disaster the other day on a purse I was working on. Garbage it needs to go, I don't know if I can salvage it at all.
xHappy dance today, my grandbaby took her first steps today and guess who she was walking to. Her MiMi.

Great block and fabric choice. I have some yardage of the different scissor prints and a charm pack I'm hoarding. I've used one. I love the Arcadia fabric and what a very sweet quilt. Somehow I think your little grandbaby walking to you melted your heart.
I love the log cabin using a honey bun. How big did that finish? I have two honey buns and would love to make another log cabin...

Love your log cabin quilt! The colors are wonderful and it is just perfectly composed. It is comforting to me to hear you say you rarely use a pattern. Maybe that will give me the courage to just do something! I afraid to start for fear that I'll mess up. Tomorrow, I'm going to start something! We'll see what happens.

I've only made one log cabin in my life and ended up giving it away. I really must make one for myself! Cute, cute baby quilt. I'm working one one of the Downey Quilts for Kids quilts now. It's a very simple pattern done in bright fabrics and was quick to put together. Now for the quilting! blessings, marlene

I had to laugh when you said "have I ever told ya I'm a night owl." LOL b/c I am TOO! ;) that is why I choose an owl for my stitched name tag for the guild ;)
