When it rains it pours!

When it rains it pours!
How many times have all of us said that. I sometimes think it comes in 3's. Our little trip was a great getaway and one that was needed.
Number 1-On the way up my car window decided to just fall down. I have a Honda and this is the 3rd time on the drivers side and 1 time on the passenger side. Now I have to tell you the only time I role down the window is to get the mail when I'm in the car or order something to go. It is to hot down here to have the window down most of the time. So what is the cause of this? Now to find something to be thankful for, it wasn't raining when it decided to fall.
Number 2-We just get home and you know all the laundry you have to wash after a trip, I go into the laundry room and our hot water heater is in this little room. Well it was leaking all on the floor. Went to Home Depot and picked one out, DH is on graveyards so this had to be done by me. Measured it got all the watts, volts and good stuff written down and off I went. What happened to all the service to help people. I loaded it on the big push cart and went to check out. I asked if someone could help me get it in the truck. We have a diesel and I need a step ladder just to crawl in the back-didn't want to do this with, you know, my best features sticking up in the air. Well this guy came and you could tell he might had been having a bad day. He put it in the truck and then told me where there was some twine if I wanted to tie it down. He then told me the water heater needed to stay in the upright position, do not let it fall over. So I go to get the twine and I'm just looking at this truck and one of my sons friends walk up and said, "Mrs Landry, you need some help" Another thing to be thankful for....
Number 3-hasn't happened, another thing to be thankful for...
You need to go to Liz's blog, she has a beautiful quilt she is giving away and it's her own pattern. http://pigtailsandsnails.blogspot.com/
I'll be posting about my October giveaway soon!
Hugs to all,

Oh Bonnie, I am glad it is pouring blessings on the heels of your showers of troubles. I hope the rest of your week is much better!

I'm so glad you're home! I know everyone needs a vacation but I missed you. :) I had a Toyota once that the window kept quitting on - some fuse or something. Really annoying. That wasn't all it did - a real lemon that car was! So sorry about the hot water heater. I sure hope installing it is easier than buying it. blessings, marlene

That happened to us one time. Our window fell down while we were on a trip. Why does windows only fall down when you're on a trip?! Hope #3 doesn't happen! Twyla

My goodness, you and yours have been getting "poured" on with calamaties! But it sounds like blessings poured in, too -- what a wonderful friend your son has!

Cars, cars, can't live with 'em, can't shoot 'em -- I drove a very old Saab for many years until a few years ago that had that problem with the side windows, only they didn't fall down, they just shattered for no reason!!

I'd come out after work or go out to the garage in the morning and find one splintered into a million pieces. It was the weirdest thing. The first time, you think surely somebody must have taken a ball bat to it, but after several times, and when it happens in a locked garage, you finally decide it's just some odd quirk.

Our current car has electrical gremlins. Some day the whole engine's gonna blow, and we won't know it because we just ignore all the dashboard lights these days, as they seem to go on and off just for whimsy and fun.

Hope it's turning out to be a great week for you!

Fondly, Ronda

I hate it when things happen like that.

What I dislike the most is lack of customer service. I had someone do that to me one time. Acting all put out. And I asked are you having a bad day ?? because you seem like your being put out by helping me. He said yea he was. I asked him what was wrong and he started to tell me his problem along with helping get something in the car. When we were done he said thanks for listening to me, and hoped I had a good day.

Sometimes you just never know how things will turn out.

Ciao

Hi Bonnie,
I think it's great that you went to get a new one..I don't like to do that kind of stuff...I'll paint, stain, hang sheet rock, etc...I just don't like to pick out stuff like that, maybe 'cause the hubby wouldn't like the one i get :)
Here's to a great rest of the week :)
