Buzzzy, Guild meeting and class with Kim Diehl, Tooth Fairy Pillow
Lots of pictures coming your way. First to show what I've been working on for a birthday girl this weekend. I have another project in the works for school and hope to finish it before this weekend. I make my tooth fairy pillows as a pillowcase that you can change out and made to fit one of the travel pillows. Love to do this so they can change the case out and take it with them in the car. x
Kim Diehl is one of my favorite designers of quilts. I have all her books and here she is at our guild meeting and even classes. You talk about a happy camper. I couldn't wait. I will post more pictures of this adventure soon. The quilt in the picture above Kim is the one her first class was on. Her technique on applique's makes it fun and easy to temp this. x First we had our guild meeting and I'm so sorry I didn't get great pictures of all the show and tell. Blurred pictures from being at an angle to stand in line with mine. x

Come on back to see a parade of Kim's quilts, I know you'll want to buy all of her books once you see these.
Kim Diehl is one of my ALL TIME favorites. I own all her books and have a few of her quilts in my home. You are so lucky to meet you and see her work up close and personal. I'll be back..you betcha!
I have Kim's books too. I took a class with her about 4 years ago. I have my quilt top done, but it needs to be quilted. I'm waiting to get better at quilting, so I can do it. Love the cute tooth fairy pillows.

When entering the welcoming warmth of my grandmother's home, her quilt frame had to be moved away from the front door to make room for family and friends to gather. With this in mind, the door is always opened to welcome you.
I have been married to my best friend for 35 years. We have been together since the 7th grade, which at that time I came home and told my Mom who I was going to marry. She just laughed. We have 2 children, a son and a daughter, who is married. We feel her husband is one of ours and they gave us three of the grandest grandkids anyone could ask for.
I love to be creative in all areas, but love to make something out of finds from estate sales to flea markets (trash to treasure). I'll be taking pictures of before and after shots and instructions on how some of the items are made. Sewing is my relaxing hobby. I started in the 5th grade summer.
I know all of us who are creative have big dreams and I hope all of yours come true.
I am blessed to have received so many tags/awards in the past. I feel bad when I cannot do them all justice and hate the thought of some friends feeling left out when they are not chosen. All my blogging friends are special and important to me, so therefore, I request to remain tag/award free.
