Buzy as a Bee!!! Garden, Sewing, Projects

Buzy as a Bee!!!
I've been a little busy around here and thought I would just share some photos of whats been happening.

First a question to the ones that make patterns. Is there anyone that "If you make it they will come," and make the pattern for you? I guess you can see that I'm not a writer. I have all these ideas and can cut, sew the project and take notes, but just hope everyone can understand them.

OK, what I've been up to. My DH and I put a garden in, Oh I can just taste the cucumbers, tomatoes, squash, eggplants, bell peppers and last the cayenne peppers (love them). The picture doesn't make it look to big, but we have 24 tomato plants and 18 cucumbers, etc. I feel muscles I haven't felt in a long time.

This is my friend who stays close to me anytime I'm outside. She so sweet and so glad we have 6 acres for her to run in.

I'm trying my hand at free motion quilting, but not doing just the stippling, kinda fun. Don't look to close, I don't have a stitch regulator.

Then I got busy and started cutting fabric. I get really upset when I don't have anything in my little cubby holes (I'll have to take a picture of where I keep my projects later, forgot) to pick up and sew. I usually have a project I can just grab. Well things got pretty low. So just a few little peeks of what will be coming out of the sewing room this week.

Keep Stitchen'

Love the lets play house fabric. I wish I had more of that but I'll have to make do with what I do have (I have several yards so I shouldn't complain!). Our garden is in the ground too. Well mostly. But the front of my house is looking like an overgrown yard. Gotta remedy that soon. So much to do. Your quilting looks good. No stitch regulator here either.

Our garden is starting to produce!! We have already eaten some of the summer squash and the tomatoes are growing quickly. Can't wait to pick them. Your quilting looks really good. I have such a hard time with FMQ. Need to do more practicing ;-)

Wow, what a garden. On 6 acres never the less. How wonderful it sounds. I love all the fresh veggies too, but Mr. Cactus has put his gardening days behind and our new home is desert friendly needing very little water.
Fun fabrics.

Your quilting looks great. I am still practicing but you're my hero. That fabric is adorable.
My gardening days are over and I just want to downsize my yard. But I will be sorry when you are harvesting some tasty veggies.

It would be so nice to have a garden! I need to get some kind of stitch regulator. I can't get stippling at all. Yours looks pretty good.

Wow! Have you been busy. The garden looks great. Can't wait to see what you are working on with all your fabric cut out. Also, your free motion quilting looks great and the fabric is so cute.

Love the cherry fabric...can't wait to see what you do with them! I'm trying the "Gardening by the Foot" method this year. It does seem to be a bit easier to care for and has a lot of plantings in small area. I am impatient for some real homegrown tomatoes though!

I especially like the print in which the girl is kissing the baby. Sweet!

Your garden sounds big! We have a dozen or so tomatoes and about the same of various peppers. We put onions in for the first time this year...they grow FAST! :)

Can't help with the pattern making, I'm in the same position. I have people asking all the time if I sell the pattern for this bag or that project, but I just go off of measurements each time.
I think I've only used a commercial pattern once or twice, still not sure what all the little marks mean. LOL

Jane, see if you can get some your guild members to test your patterns for you.
Your machine quilting is looking pretty good.
Hope your garden grows good this year.
