Vacation - Tennessee

I'm going to upload some of the pictures I took while on vacation. We had such a good time we didn't want to come home. Hope they bring you joy and relaxation, but you know you can't go on a trip without something happening.

This is my husband changing the tire on top of Clingman's Dome. We were both looking over the curb and guess what. POW-the tire hit the curb. It was around 37 degrees and we had shorts on. When he was putting the doughnut on, all I could think about was that hasn't been put on since we had the car and I bet you there isn't any air in it. Well, it was flat. After an hour and half we had two of the nicest volunteers come and rescue us with an air pump. I just thank the Lord nothing else happened.

Now for some of the beautiful sites and then I have to tell you about one of the best places we went to and that was the "Museum of Appalachia" in Clinton, Tennessee

These pictures might make you a little cooler with the hot weather we have been having. I'll post some of the pictures from the Museum today- the others tomorrow. I love to look at the way people lived years ago.

Clothes are washed and unpacked and now I need to get back to sewing.

Have a blessed day.

I almost forgot about the Front Porch Party!

Rhondi at Rose Colored Glasses is hosting a Front Porch Party! The party is to be held June 5th. All you need to do is go to Rhondi's blog and post a comment between now and then letting here know about your Porch Party Post. She will post links to your porch party on June 5th. You can copy the picture and post on your blog to let others know about it.

Hi Bonnie,

Those are great photo's. The waterfall looks refreshing. I like the meadow with the critters grazing.
And could you imagine living in those times ?
Glad you had a wonderful time.

Bonnie! I feel like I have found a wonderful friend in you already! I am so glad you came by to visit me. Please come by often and leave a comment and I promise I will come back and see you!

I live in NC now, near Asheville in the Mountains, but lived in Tennessee for 4 years. Both states are beautiful.

I love the second apron in the picture on your first blog. It is kind of raspberry colored with ruffles. I love aprons, but sadly only have one :-(. I need to start collecting some I think.
See you soon!

Good MOrning Bonnie,

Thanks for visiting my blog. I will add you to mine as well. I love the museum pics. I just love country life (it wasn't always that way) I became a city girl for 20 years..now that I am older, I appreciate the simple. Although, I still live in a not so simple home, but someday I would love to live on a farm. :)

Hugs,

Jenny
