Quilts I brought to finish at the retreat and Texture Magic

Quilts I brought to finish at the retreat and
Texture Magic
x
I should of posted these pictures a few days ago, but at the retreat we decided to each make a quilt and donate them to a Children's Home. We selected an easy pattern and one of the ladies in our bee is taking the time to quilt them for us. Binding will be done on Thursday and maybe I can post some pictures. So time does fly when girl's are having fun.

Here are a couple of quilts, I know I've showed pieces of them, but I did get to put them together at the quilt retreat. The first one (pictured above) is a baby quilt that really needs to be finished. I have a problem wanting to move on to new projects.

The one below still needs one more small border. It will be for a table. Love red and yellow.

Now this is a new product,Texture Magic from Superior Threads and I'm using it on my grand baby's outfit for school. A backpack to match will have her set for the day. I'm just posting a peek and will work on these two projects the rest of the week.

Texture Magic is so much fun to work with. If you go to Moda Bake Shop , Kim made a pillow using it. So cute!!! I have Texture Magic in my shop @ Calamity Jane's Cottage . Come on back for finished projects.

I feel like I've been pulled in a hundred direction, so I've not posted as usual. Our quilt guild is having an auction for a quilt and had to show you some pictures of it. I love it because I heart log cabins and love the applique details on it. I believe it's a king, oh I want to win this one myself. You can click on the top picture to see it better.

I'm trying to finish up some projects in between running the road and planning for a July 4Th weekend up at the lake. Our son will move the following week to Houston and it will be good to have him closer to home. Hope to post more often.

I thought I would show you some of the new patterns I'm going to list in the shop, http://calamityjanescottage.com/ , hopefully tomorrow. Husbands birthday will be happening and then he has to work nights, so it will be an early celebrating. I realized I said I was 55 in a post below and I'm only 54, don't want to rush things and didn't think about it till I figured how old he was going to be. Anyway, I will put them online soon.

Giveaway for 100th Post!!!

I'm sorry this has taken a while for me to post but this is the first day I have had time to post about it. Grandbaby is doing fine and husband is better each day.
I'm making some kits to put online in the shop, so I thought I would post one to giveaway and I'm thinking SPRING. So the colors I selected are pinks and greens. Just leave me a post here for the giveaway and if you would like to buy one I'm going to list it under Newly Listed @ the website http://www.calamityjanescottage.com

It will include the booklet "Turning Twenty...Again" and 12 fat quarters for $26.00 plus $5.00 shipping. This makes a lap size quilt

(48 1/2" X 64 1/2") or (60 1/2" X 76 1/2" with 6 1/2" border-not included)
Good Luck, I'm not sure when I will have the drawing at this time.
