Thirty eight years ago we started our journey as man and wife, but we really met in the seventh grade and I came home and told my Mom who I was going to marry, little did she know I meant it. This first picture is when we were in High School, boy it doesn't seem that long ago. Looking at these pictures I see how important sewing was in my life then. Remember the pant suits that were in at this time out of knit, I really miss the fact you just washed it and NO IRONING.
I think I was beading me wedding dress up until the night before the wedding. Still have it just wish I could fit into it. 
Then this is us leaving for our Honeymoon. Made our going away outfits, even his. Wonder if I could get him in another one. I think he would of wore anything at this time, young love. LOLHave a great day and Keep Stitchen'

Ah yes, the clothes, the hair, the fabrics! We're working on 30 years later this year, and looking back at the wedding pictures and early marriage pictures is always a hoot! Congratulations to you and your sweetie! We're becoming a rare breed!

Wow. I loved those days. My husband and I will celebrate our 37th this year. Your outfits were great. I also sewed some in those days. I made him 2 shirts.

Oh Bonnie. I love this post. Brings back the good old days. I'm married 32 but we knew each other 4 years before that. Thanks for sharing your great pictures. My fav is the bike pic. I remember sewing everything then too. All my stuff. Either mom or me made everything. No one does that anymore.
Well I must say first of all that I Love You!;) I have seen these pics about 100 times and this time they got to me a little....... sigh. It must be the age. 30 has come all too fast and I can't tell you or dad I love you enough. I'm proud of y'all for making it in this crazy world. With Love, Daughter:)
