What's on the cutting table....

Oh my, I'm just thinking of all the potholders I can make now and I have a charity quilt to finish, a label to embroidery and about a gazillion quilts to be quilted. What am I thinking. They are fast and fun--use scraps--on top of my list for a fast gift (that's why they are so much fun). The picture above has a potholder with a large eyelet and a hot pad with a Texas theme. Bluebonnets and a little ranch scene with an oil well on it. I think everyone thinks us Texans all have oil wells and a longhorn. Wish I was so lucky.

Have a great day and hope to bring my camera to our sewing bee.

You mean you DON'T have an oilwell? Or a ranch that goes on for miles and miles?
(just kidding)

I love Texas bluebells, Bonnie and those longhorns sure look ominous when you actually get to see them in person.

But your potholders have them all beat. They're wonderful!

Hi Bonnie, I love these blocks. I've just been thinking I need to use a dark to "seam" some blocks like this. It give it a stained glass look. Love that. My daughter, well our whole family, are Philadelphia Eagles fans. Big time. I'm from there. So it fits us. And our rivals are the Cowboys. So my daughter hates everything Texas. I'm not allowed to have anything Texas in my house or she goes nuts. She would like to serve a mission for our church. I tell her be careful Jamie, with that attitude against Texas, you are likely to be called to serve there!

I have a special fondness for Texas, being born there. LOVE the soft blues in the potholders.

I just had to check out your Texas themed pot holders. We used to live in Texas. The potholders from a distance look like toile so a close up was necessary for me to see the Texas theme. So pretty.
