Part II of Spring Sewing and Recipe! Update and Giveaway Below!

I had to take time out with cooking and washing, now it's 9:30 here and I'm determined to finish my pillow. I thought I would get more done by now. Quilting as fast as I can. Stay tuned...

x

Well the first thing getting sewn today is a pillow for my guest bedroom. You would think I just love pink and green due to my blog and this bedroom, but it is the only room that has these colors to go with my antique dishes and dainty things. So it needed a little pillow for guest and it was spring colors.
x

Now for a recipe for all the ones still in the cold and just wishing for spring.

Kelly @ http://cottoncharmquilts.typepad.com/ and Joan @ http://ouvragesduneacadienne.blogspot.com/ will be having a Spring Party and I can't wait. So come and see all the creativeness that will take place tomorrow.

x

I've been in such a sewing mood lately, but love to create new items. So after the show where I had to sew the same thing over and over so much, I'm having the best time. I need to fill my Etsy shop and get my online shop back full again. Here are a few things I'm working on and lots more in the works.
x

Don't forget about the 200Th Post Giveaway below. I always think you might not see it if I write a post above it, so just a little reminder.

200TH POST GIVEAWAY

x
I have to say a lot of inspiration for the giveaways came from getting back and reading blogs. Anyone can leave a comment on this post and join in on the fun. Three different prizes to choose from and the first one drawn will get his or her choice. Drawing will take place on Sunday. Now for a little bit about each one.
x
x
The pillow that says "My husband lets me buy all the fabric I can hide" is from a towel saying that I sale. At the quilt show the ladies loved the saying and I thought I needed to make it into something that is useful. You know in these times useful and frugal is what it's all about.
x
x
So the pillow has a zipper on the back and measures about 17"x13". Now just think of all the fabric it can hide.
x
x
The purse that says "A fat quarter is not a body part" great to take on Quilt Shop Hops or to carry a project your working on. Love reds and yellows together, just waiting for spring to arrive. It measures about 13"x11". I thought of adding the string quilting after reading Stephanie's @ http://loftcreations.blogspot.com/ group having so much fun with this.
x
x
Last but full of goodies is the little fabric container I saw at Jenny's blog http://www.elefantz.blogspot.com/ . She is making some of the cutest and there is a tutorial on them from Christina @
x
I put fat quarters that I've used in the giveaways, Turning Twenty Book, needles, thank you cards, pen and a little jelly roll I made in the fabric basket.
x
I've enjoyed making each one and just want to "Thank You" for staying with me while I was gone. I'm still catching up on blogs.

We had a Great Show

x
Well my feet are hurting and I haven't done a thing all day today, just too tired. We had a great show, but I'm not sure this body can take it, just another reminder I need to get in better shape. We set up on Thursday and packed up on Saturday, a fast 3 days. It was raining and cold on Thursday when we packed the truck, so we were wet and cold setting up.
x
I can't believe I only took a few pictures. I should of got out more and took pictures of the quilts. I will see if the other ladies have any they can email me. We had some beautiful quilts entered in the show. The pictures above are just a few of the booth on the last day, just 5 pictures, what was I thinking.
x
I noticed my 200Th post will be soon and as promised a giveaway when I returned, so pictures will be coming soon. It so good to be back and posting. I might have to visit each day, so far behind on all the blogs.
Happy Valentines and Keep Stitchen'

One of my helpers at Christmas

x
Had to show one of my helpers at Christmas. I realize I haven't shown any pictures lately of the newest addition to our family. Grand baby #3 is growing so fast.
x
Christmas has come and gone and we have a New Year upon us. I'm sorry for me not posting as usual but I had to buckle down and get ready for an upcoming show and try to make extra income. Our son has lost his job but will soon start a new one in Tyler. He just had the expense of moving and relocating to Houston now we are helping with this one.
x
I'll show all I've been working on soon for the show. I haven't done one in awhile and it will be hard to get everything ready. I also got the bright idea I really couldn't sew very well with my sewing room looking the way it did. So I tackled it. What a job it has turned out to be.
x
Hope all is well with everyone and I hope to visit soon. Life has been just too busy.
