Etsy Opened Back Up and New Teapot Cozy Listed

This is what I worked on today to put in my Etsy Shop. I have the web site Calamity Jane's Cottage, but thought I really missed listing on Etsy so I made another store. I'll be listing more fabric and patterns, plus handmade items. My antiques (Russian Teapot pictured below), fabrics and patterns will still be on the web site.

The Spring Giveaway will end this Easter Sunday and I will let the winner know on Monday. I've enjoyed making the prize. Don't forget to enter below or just click on the button on the sidebar.

I'm So Glad It Finally Arrived!!!

Now I have to say this was my fault for Donna @ http://chookyblue.blogspot.com/ to be the last one to receive her package, I even sent it a few days early. My costly mistake was not looking at the address and it was sent back to me. So across the big ocean it went again.

This is what I sent

Donna had color choices of blue and country, I hope I did OK for her table topper.

Last, I want to thank Stephanie @ http://loftcreations.blogspot.com/ for having this Tea Time Swap, I loved being in this one and you were a Grand Hostess.

Towel for Customer and 2nd Grandbaby, a hoot!

Towel for Customer and 2ND Grandbaby, a hoot!

I had an order for a towel I had sent Susan @ http://blackberrycreek.typepad.com/blackberry_creek/

The order was for a jade color and do you know how many shades that color has? I thought I would take a picture and put in on my blog to see if she still wants it. I digitized this when I started thinking tea swap. So Dianne let me know if this is OK.

The next picture is one I just couldn't pass up. My second grandbaby who is 2 years 4 months saw my bra and asked, "Is that for your ninnies?" Now I don't know how to spell this and I guess she got this word from my daughter. I said yes and she said she wanted some. So as a Mimi, I did what she wanted. So I tied a bra around her and stuffed with tissue. She was so proud. Just wait till she gets older, you just aren't so proud then.

Tea Swap Package Arrived!!!

Tea Swap Package Arrived!!!

Look what all arrived today from Donna @ http://chookyblue.blogspot.com/

Thank you so much, brought some sunshine into my life, which is really needed at this time. The little quilt top will look great in my guest bedroom, which I have teacups and plates hung all over. As I write this the teacup she sent is getting well used with some orange spice tea in it.

Donna has so much talent with her photos, I wrote her and told her they need to be published. I don't know if I can bring myself to use the cards, they need to be framed. And last you know a girl can never have to much fabric.
Thank you again Donna,

Look what Stephanie has done to me!!!

Look what Stephanie has done to me!!!

OK, I have to stop making these. When I joined Stephanie @
http://loftcreations.blogspot.com/ with the tea swap, I had no idea what it would do to me. I can't stop thinking about teapots and I need to switch gears for the spring swap Linda @ http://all-stitched-up.blogspot.com/ is having. Love to join these and meet new bloggers.

Maybe I can use some of these for the spring swap. I will never tell...
Oooops, one of the roses is upside down on the teapot. I might have to tilt the setting like it is pouring out tea.

I'm Back!!!

I'm Back!!!
Our house is empty after a long tough week. My husbands brother passed away on Monday of last week and we have not stopped. It has been wonderful to be with all the family and knowing that he is not suffering anymore has been one of the things we prayed for.
I wish they could find an answer to all the cancer, it is a horrible disease.
I'm waiting to get the news that my tea swap partner recieved her package so I can post pictures. I got a card to pick up something at the post office, can't wait to see what it is tomorrow.
I'll be trying to catch up on everyone's blog-look on the side bar for a button that goes to all the blogs I follow. Keep adding more each day and the list was so long I made another blog.
Hope all is well with everyone,

What do we Pray, in time of need...

What do we Pray, in time of need...

My husbands brother is not doing well. He has cancer and has been battling it hard for over a year. We are so thankful that he has been with us for this time, but it is at this time, I ask, "What do we pray"?

He is not in pain or at least we do not think so, due to medicines, which we are so thankful for. I do believe he is a very faithful man and how we all want him to be with us longer, but yet we don't want him to suffer. His wife is the one that is his rock and he is hers. The love that they share is so strong.

I went through this with my Mom and it got to a point I prayed please God open your arms and let her in. Now if you knew my Mom they probably had bells on and a huge parade when she arrived. She had so much faith. When we were at MD Anderson, all she would say, with a big smile, "I'll be fine either way". How I miss her.

So I just want to say I probably want post as often, but my swap partners your gifts are done. My tea swap partner gift will be sent out tomorrow and I'm so glad to have gotten started on Linda's spring swap early. That doesn't happen very often.

(John 14:27) Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Faith...is being sure of what you hope for and certain of what you do not see

Thank you Stephanie-Sneak Peek-Moda Fabric

Look at this cute giftie Stephanie @ http://loftcreations.blogspot.com/ made all of us in the tea swap. She is always making the cutest things. I had to make me some tea before I sat down to post. Thank you so much Stephanie.

I had to sneak in another picture I had taken earlier of my gift I'll be sending soon. Almost done.

I know I haven't even listed all the fabric I have, in the shop, but look what I put together for a project. You know MODA is my middle name. I'm getting ready for spring with a lot of ideas floating around. Too many, I'm thinking I'm on overload.

HAVE YOU EVER!!!

HAVE YOU EVER!!!

I know I usually only talk about sewing, but I thought I would tell a story now and then. Love reading some on the other blogs and I can't show any pictures of things that I'm working on at this time because they are for swap groups.

The stories will always be called "Have You Ever", so if they don't call for your reading you can skip that post. I'm not sure how many I'll post but they are about little things that have happened in my life.

My husband, as you all know, is kinda out of order with his shoulder and all he can do is think about the fish that everyone is catching right now. We were talking about this last night and I thought about when we were first married.

We use to go camping and I mean camping. Tent, little camp stove, lantern, the whole works. Back then we could sleep on the floor and it didn't bother us. Those were the days. Went fishing all weekend, could eat anything because we were both so skinny. You know the s'mores, hamburgers, hot dogs, maybe even two or more. Built us a fire every night and cuddled. Don't you just wish you could go back there sometimes.

Well anyway it was at the end of the weekend and we had at that time a little aluminum boat. Had a little motor on the back, probably 25 hp and we thought it went so fast or at least I did.
At the end of our trip, husband says, "Do you want to back up the trailer or bring the boat around to load it on the trailer". I thought now I have never done neither one but I sure didn't want to jack knife the trailer into our old used truck so I selected to drive the boat around. He cranked it and got it going in the right direction. I'm sitting with a grin from ear to ear taking off. Well, I forgot to ask how to stop it. I was driving around and around with this same speed, fassssst to me hoping it would run out of gas.

Husband on the bank yells out, "Beach it", (my reaction) you have got to be kidding. A little crowd had gathered by now, so after a few more circles, hoping they would go away but didn't, I head for the sand. That boat was out of the water all the way and I thought I was going to be out of the boat.

Just a little memory, that came back. I thought I could offer to take him fishing but I knew one of these things would have to be done by me. Backing up the trailer or getting the boat (lot bigger and faster now) around! Better stay home.
